CFF 2003: Fantastic Finishes, All-time Records and Individual Leaders

CFF witnessed more close games this year than any other season since we started pursuing this endeavor to see every 1A team play at least once. Network programmers couldn't have booked a more exciting schedule themselves if they had just one game to pick every week with a Goal like ours to see every team play at least once!  But we saw a great mix of teams with various records! Several put on their best performances of the season in games attended by CFF. Of fourteen games, seven  were decided by three points or less.  Of these, six were seen on consecutive weekends.  Two were won on the very last play, on consecutive weekends also. Two were lost on the very last play!  Two went into overtime, one because of a TD on the final play of regulation.  Two other games were won by a touchdown.  In others, we saw records fall and some of the best individual performances during the course of 2003. Games were competitive in every level of college play that we saw this year.  One season can't get more exciting than this one!  We cherish it because we doubt that we can get this lucky again.  CFF will encapsulate this season in an upcoming 2003 Season Review.  Watch for it!
